Our shipping arrived after more than two months in transit by truck, rail, and ship. Thank goodness for the plastic wrap: it was the only thing holding it all together. Two of the plastic tubs had cracked during the journey and, as you can see here, some items were falling out on arrival. But it seems that nothing was lost or damp or infested. We were lucky!
Now we are in the process of packing up the little Edinburgh flat, which is ready to be rented out on the market again. We plan to move up to St Andrews this weekend, regroup there for a week, and then head down to Spain the first weekend of October!
It seems the covid numbers are going up again so we are in a race to get there before new lockdowns may take effect. Josep has been waiting for us in Tarradell since July. We can't wait to see him and try out some of the Spanish we have been learning in twice weekly Zoom lessons given to us by Raf, a Mexican friend who lives in Sri Lanka. What a globalized world it is.
